What is truly staggering to me is when I bring this up in debates the response is something to the effect of, "Its a liberal source," or "Why do I care what they say?"
On par with people who only sit up and notice when their gas and egg prices go up but not when thousands of people are kidnapped off the streets, deprived of any constitutional rights and thrown into concentration camps completely lacking in any humanitarian treatment.
Why is that staggering? We've known for a long time that any source which conflicts with their identity & beliefs will be disregarded, while any source which feeds into their belief &/or identity will immediately be made part of their identity, even if it's the worst, most obvious bad AI slop or a half-sentence scrawled in child-like text on butcher's paper with a sharpie.
You can't debate such people. You can only have pointless arguments with them because no amount of arguing has ever caused a person to change their identity.
Earlier today on a thread about how the war was going to hurt Americans. Some idiot actually replied. Americans are fine , after all They went to work today and their house isn't on fire. This is the kind of mindset that you're dealing with
I'm not American, so I get to watch this dumpster fire with a bit more detachment, and I'll admit that I still feel some need for the "went to work today/house not on fire" thinking as a coping mechanism. If I spent too much time thinking about what the US is doing to the peace and stability of the entire planet, especially accounting for the interesting rate of decay, I'd need medication.
Americans tolerance, or maybe 'acceptance' is the better word to use, of the stupidity and violence, which is the defining characteristic of how our government is being run right now, is beyond compare. Unless you look to the past to the King of England, George the III, known as the Mad King George who lost America. This same Mad King who ruled England, would have been well-known to our Founding Fathers who wrote him a letter 1776 which became known as the Declaration of Independence.
The Mad King's antics were so well known, they became the founding principles behind the writing of the Constitution of the United States, a system of checks and balances running though our government that would never allow us to be rule by a Mad King ever again. It has been 225 years since the first Mad King died in 1820 years after we overthrew him. Mad King Trump is no different and needs to be overthrown.
Mad King Trumps rule is frankly insulting to us on so many levels. The main one being that he is so cunningly dumb. I actually heard him say the other day proudly that he invented the term 'fake news', which is little more than a new way of speaking about the truth, being spoke as a lie, because the actual reality of the news, doesn't agree with the madness inside him. His entire government is now staffed by his followers peddling the same mad lies, validating his Madness, only they don't pull it off as well, as they can't hide behind the veil of mental illness in the same way as Mad King Trump does, with total acceptance and belief. He actually believes he is sane.
Anyone in their right mind who believes, justifies or accepts that our current government should be ruled and run by Mad King Trump-as Steve Bannon said-should expect to be jailed as soon as Mad King Trump loses office. As Steve Bannon know anyone backing or supporting a Mad King for their own personal enrich is breaking Constitutional law. The very laws that protect us from Mad King's being elected, even if they do promise to make you rich and lower your taxes.
Better yet, iI believe if you voted for Mad King Trump, you should have your voting rights suspended for supporting an Insurrection of the United States Government. Your vote wasn't about Progressive vs Conservative Economic change; it was about Billionaires paying Trump to turn the government over to them. An Insurrection in the finest sense of the word led by Mad King Trump.
Shame on any American who voted for and supported this Mad King.

With the full backing of the Republican party

And the AIPAC shekels that bought the Democrats leadership.

Seems like it might be trump who's serving AIPAC's interests, now.

The Israeli own both parties and Trump.

I keep telling them: You’re not winning. You’re next.

Stop telling them. You're wasting your breath & you'll need that for laughing at them when they complain about being next.

A lot of people voted for trump because they wanted to see the US crumble. They wanted him to tear it down
Undeity | 11 hours ago
No, they just think they do. They had some vague notion about "taking down the establishment" without any idea what that actually means.

And they will be some of the first ones to die from it.
pretty sure that the Republicans hate the maga voters more than they hate anybody else.

Because it doesn't work for them anymore. When a black man got elected president it was " game over"!
