I have to admit I found this funny (in a depressing way) in the wake of yesterday's announcement. A climate scientist:

That was an obvious conclusion years ago when each and every year we not only reduced overall fossil used but rather have be accelerating it. Just look at Canada right now and their billions being invested to build new pipeline and shipping terminals while their own forests burn to the ground and people are dying around the world due to the climate catastrophe we are already in. Most do not really care as most have not radically adjusted their fossil fuel use. Humanity chooses suffering over convenience.

Glad to see the climate change community's decade-old opinion has gotten the UN's stamp of approval.
Now that we are on the same page, could we spend the next decade deciding on a resolution?
