I with they preserved more than the absolute most classic of videos.
"Ferrets" by FilmCow was taken down a few days ago, and it's a matter of time when all videos with 2000s cartoon violence like Llamas with Hats get deleted by YouTube.
If you have little kids who are into vehicles I recommend the YouTube channel Gecko's Garage - it's the Salad Fingers guy. He found his bag in kids' content.
It was first posted to www.b3ta.com/board as Weebl was a regular poster there, I was at ground zero for this one. He would have hosted it on his site though.
That's posted by the original author, but not the original format.
The original was a flash animation that ran indefinitely.
One quirk with the original was the audio and video didn't stay in sync, so it would gradually drift, but would come back in sync after a few hours.
Another difference between the youtube video and the flash animation, is the flash animation was vector graphics. It could easily be scaled to 8k (and beyond) without losing any quality.

When my parents were 19 they had Jimi Hendrix, The eagles, Elvis etc.
When I was 19 this came online.

Come off it. You had Gareth Gates.
Looking up the top 40 that month triggered mild ptsd from the car radio playing "Where is the Love" seemingly on loop.

No, 'Badger Badger Badger' is way older then YouTube. The original is an adobe flash file.

In fact I think it’s old enough that the original was a Macromedia Flash file.
