Yep, honestly the best thing is to just avoid having any flair ups if possible. Getting gout fairly young helped me live a bit healthier lifestyle, although I could still be better. Allopurinol definitely helped, but I'm having major issues with insurance and getting into a doctor so I basically can't rely on that right now.
I’m 35, had doctors appointment, blood tests to confirm and I have changed my diet massively because of it to avoid flair ups, lots of fluids, no alcohol and rich/processed food
Fortunately I haven't had a flair up since taking Allopurinol every day. But the Colchicine was given to take during the flair up didn't work so I had gout for a month and now have damage to the foot. I'd still feel better knowing a new alternative was found so maybe in a few years something will be.

CHERRY JUICE
It may not work for everyone, but it works for me. I got gout about 10 years ago in my feet. Awful. First time I went to the ER. They gave me some medicine, that kinda slowly worked over a few days.
2 weeks later it was back. Google, my primary care physician, and then this old guy at the bowling alley told me drinking cherry juice might work.
The old guy at the bowling alley, just overheard me telling my friends about my gout. He walked up to me and said "you got gout? Drink cherry juice" and walked away. I bought some on the way home that night!
I drink about half a glass every 3 or 4 days. I've found that keeps me completely pain free. If I don't have any for a week, my foot starts getting tight and my toes don't bend well. I drink some juice and the next day I feel better.
Yes way! I don't know what I'd do without it. And I've even learned to enjoy the tart taste! Just drink it cold and after a few months you'll actually like it!

So, the outer layer neutralizes nitric oxide. The core breaks down uric acid. The cerium oxide shell does... what? Protects the core from enzymes. And that's all.

I was diagnosed at 20 and it was honestly due to straight up addiction to soda. I've cut back tremendously and that helped a lot.
