I don't fully disagree, but I read this as mostly a post about where Apple's human interface design quality may go in the future, and where it has been going in the past, discussed in the context of Dye's departure. Apple's declining HI quality has been discussed extensively in the past here, so I'd lean towards this being on-topic.
