You may want to attend the Handmade meetups in London. (Latest one happened just a couple weeks ago.) They've been going on for over a year, and we usually announce them in the "What Are You Doing This Weekend?" Lobster threads.

Note: I'm not dissuading you from spinning up your own thing, just alerting you of existing infrastructure :D

Hey - thanks for this. Haha I do sometimes go to the Handmade London meetups. I am not sure that would be the same thing as a lobster meetup though.

Oh definitely. Lobsters is narrowly focused on computing, and then we're a subset of THAT

Handmade Cities are the largest offline events for systems programmers: 100% indie. This is our portal to meet engineers super into game engines, compilers, terminals, kernels and more

It'd be super cool to see a meetup with a wider umbrella. I just genuinely didn't know if you knew about Handmade London or not.

I think it would be best to see whether more than a couple of people (i.e. me and you) would be up for it. Otherwise you'd just be traveling down to meet me.
