Well, none of the administration is intelligent enough to realize that NASA monitors the climate. But the scientists were told very sternly to let everyone know that the Space Force is way more important.
Last week was pretty miserable at work. We had to hike all day in 95-100 degree heat and we were camping with no shade. It cooled off to around 75 degrees at night, but not until late. I averaged 3 hours of sleep and 2 gallons of water (with Brawndo) per day. I really wish I was working on the coast.
I have a friend in Marin County who has had 50s at night as well, some hot days though. You had better be practicing gratitude for your position in life right now, I know she is at least attempting to do that.
Thankful every day that we lucked into buying where we did... We moved here near the Sonoma Coast from the twin cities, so we're familiar with how miserable deep summer heat and bitter winter cold can get. The weather here factored highly when choosing where to spend the remainder of our years.
We open the windows after the sun goes down & the house is 60 degrees by morning irrespective of how hot the day was. The warmest nighttime temp I recall in seven years was 62F during wildfire season.
I lived in San Francisco for many years before moving to Los Angeles, and while I am definitely more at home here I do miss my weekends in the beautiful North Bay. I used to be up at the Russian River quite a bit (gayyyyyyyyy), and the sunny days followed by the chill under the redwoods are just magical.
Our favorite mini trip is up highway 1 to Jenner then inland to Armstrong Woods & back home on the small roads... 3-4 hours at a lazy pace and gorgeous year round.
You sound like my braindead uncle from 30 years ago lol. I remember he argued we'd go into another ice age before we roasted. From the same guy who spent time at Pendleton and the surrounding beaches, saying he used to be able to sit in the sun all day and relax, but now it was like a broiler.
I truly hope you don't have children. It would be a tragedy to have you as a parent.

Broke records where I'm at. I hate it.

Look at the bright side, it's colder than the future.
usps_made_me_insane | 16 hours ago
This summer will be the coldest on record over the next 100 years.
n00bmechanic13 | 15 hours ago
Apparently there's a chance we'll actually drop into an ice age due to the climate instability
Intelligent_You_3888 | 10 hours ago
Yep. The AMOC collapse thats expected to occur in the next hundred years or so.
LetGoPortAnchor | 6 hours ago
Collapse of the AMOC will give Europe an ice age but will heat up the eastern US as the warmth in transports will no longer be moved to Europe.

Surprised the trump admin is allowing nasa to even issue these kinds of bulletins
DrTreeMan | 18 hours ago
Its fine to admit that its hot as long as it gets blamed on another heat dome and no one asks or mentions why all of these heat domes are forming.
perestroika12 | 17 hours ago
it will become normalized to be inside for weeks at a time in places like the south during peak summer. It’s already too late.

Or with El Niño. It’s obviously you know who’s fault

They didn’t say the obvious reason was climate change. Just pointed out how the rate has doubled since 1980s. It’s a pretty short article

Can't argue with idiots sadly. You can show them all the charts and graphs and they will still ignore facts.

Accusedbold | 17 hours ago
I was promised only 1 heat dome per century. Now you come along and say we have to suffer this on a per season basis. Ah hell nah.
