Maybe it's just me but I'm really hyped for the Union theming system's full release. Really promising in the development I've followed so far, plus they're taking the opportunity to make minor style/UX changes in Breeze which are a massive win IMO (that they couldn't make before because they couldn't get parity between widgets and Quick)
Those KDE 2 and 3 screenshots look so appealing! Unfortunately I've tried the themes and none really get there. Perhaps Haiku will one day be featureful enough..
The old Motif / OS/2 / Win95 style graphics were just so user friendly and crisp. I wish we could go back to it. I've tried the redmond theme, and there are always small gaps and inconsistencies. Modern desktops always end up feeling like a mix of so many UI paradigms, with the web only making things worse....
I really love what KDE has been doing with Plasma. If I ever switch off macOS, I will definitely try it out.
Also…
Spectacle can now optionally include both system audio and microphone input in its screen recordings, making it possible to narrate a recording or accurately record everything that’s going on.
This is a really nice quality of life feature. I can’t even figure out how to get any form of system audio in screen recordings in macOS, let alone both that and microphone audio! (It’s always so annoying.)
