Climate change doesn't have a representative that builds a compelling enough story to drown out the other distractions built by religoin/politics and the drive to make money. Whether it's an individual or a large entity with a goal.

Hard to see this as good vs evil when it's has evolved this way. It's a shame that there's a higher chance that so many have to die before we see it, instead of being proactive and aware. Can't be aware when those that control you don't want you be so.

Right wing think tanks like the Heritage Foundation have been conspiring for decades about how to get a hold on power and influence. The fact that a big chunk of the US population is a staunch supporter of right wing policies, as destructive as they can be, is a consequence of this, not the other way around.
