Happy to see them recognize that reusing existing phones currently makes better Linux phones. Not every actual-product-selling-business would say such a thing!
Well, yes and no... some existing Android phones happen to be able to run Linux through the heroic efforts of hobbyists and volunteers. But there are no modern phones which are currently being made with open software software and support in mind. I would happily buy a Raspberry Pi phone or System76 phone in a heartbeat, for example.
