As far as I'm aware this is now the largest public repo to get synced between GitHub and another platform at ~18k PRs, ~4k issues, and over 200k total items between checks, comments, prs, reviews, etc

Congratulations <3

What does this even mean?

There are other git projects hosted on multiple platforms. Pretty sure linux kernel is hosted in more places than github, and kept in sync because it's based on git.

What research did you base this on?

[OP] versecafe | 19 hours ago

The actual PR/issue/review/comment/check syncing, git mirrors are trivial and something the spec thankfully makes extremely easy across all platforms

preommr | 19 hours ago

but... you... huh?

Then why are you bringing it up like it's something impressive???

__float | 19 hours ago

git.cafe appears to be either incredibly slow or completely down, for me.

What is it?

bitbasher | 19 hours ago

It’s slow and/or failing. I won’t offer any more commentary on it.

[OP] versecafe | 19 hours ago

what's slow for you seeing a p50 around 130ms for requests on the t3code repo?
it crashed my browser tab

jetpham | 19 hours ago

They're calling it the most impressive migration of all time

bitbasher | 19 hours ago

Sounds like something Theo would say.

if only hn let us add the thumbnails to go with it

what the larp is going on here dude, why do people even care how big a repo is? Seems like youre overcompensating for something if you're measuring your favorite youtuber's repo size

[OP] versecafe | 19 hours ago

mostly once repos cross a certain size syncing them becomes a massive engineering effort, not git mirroring but the surrounding metadata that makes a forge useful

Is T3 used widely? Would be curious to hear people’s experiences.

It's a genuinely impressive project with a lot of care going into the experience. The interface makes a lot of common things faster (like the pr previews and git pushes), the namespaced worktree spawning by default is great, the steer/queue message behaviour comes useful, the ability to reference other threads and spawn specific workers is a life improvement for sure. The inbox style handling of threads makes more sense than anything else I've seen. And if you're doing a lot of web, the mini browser integration is the best I've seen around.

I've converted from cmux to t3code and don't regret anything - would 100% recommend. The way I see it, apps like the official Codex need to show off new features immediately and before people create good patterns. (and old features stay frozen without a good reason) T3code on the other hand seems to concentrate on what's actually useful for people and making it super polished.

It's great. Much stronger on the UX side for things that devs need than Claude / Codex. Feels like the issue tracker isn't a black hole. Release notes aren't "Fixes and unicorns", but real links to PRs. I use both Codex and Claude models in it, often interchangably - sub agents from one to the other as needed.

(Bias, I'm more familiar with Codex than Claude as I worked on Codex when I was at OpenAI, but mainly on the TUI not the app - take my better than Claude with a grain of salt perhaps).
