Ooh my state. Anyways, kinda weirdly specific account, does every FBI office have their own social media account?
It's good to be wary of any and all bs from the establishment. In this case it seems like someone brain farted HARD... and I'd be surprised if a single person was confused by this post. But I guess an asshole could have done it on purpose as a form of trolling the "stupid libs" or something
This one feels like Hanlon's Razor applies. I'd argue that New Haven and this social media post are sufficiently low audience that it's more likely just an idiot managing their social media (or letting an AI do it that injected some heat and changed a day, inadequately supervised) getting a fact wrong and using an authoritative account to do it.
If the great cheeto said it, then probably conspiracy, but he'd want his base (the only ones who read his X posts and other social media bullshit) to vote on the right day. Other alternatives that are far more conspiracy likely would be if not-normally-political departments did the same.

Are Americans being trained to count on the FBI as a source of disinformation?

It is the mobster way.
The only way to get reliable information is to know the right people. That forces a hierarchy of corruption.
