Just want you to know as a human I appreciate her and am thankful for her work which I’m sure wasn’t easy or appropriately lauded! I’m A- blood and my son wouldn’t be here without the Rhogam shot. My kids know the names Gorman and Freda.
One of the more emotional videos I've seen on social media was this adult son explaining to his elderly doctor father with Alzheimer's that he (the father) had made all of these important medical discoveries during his career. Apparently, he'd pioneered a treatment for a common pregnancy complication that often killed both mother and baby. The comments were full of women saying he'd saved their lives and their children's lives. But the doctor didn't even remember it anymore because of Alzheimer's. The son even showed him a letter from President Obama thanking him for his discoveries and he was like "Wow the president wrote ME a letter?!" Zero recollection of his own vital work...

I remember her and her speaking about this! She even spoke of wanting to test a treatment of very low dose antibiotics over 8-12 weeks along with behavioral therapy to break the OCD cycle. (If I remember correctly)
I have tried to point people to this work for years and no one wanted to hear it. They would rather complain. I am thrilled this knowledge is out there. Maybe more people will get the treatments they need. Your mom was awesome.
this happened to my cousin as a kid!! it was so scary to watch, he changed completely overnight. from what i remember he had to get a plasma infusion (?) and hes a completely normal adult now.

I had strep often as a kid and sometimes had crazy night terror hallucinations as well. I wonder if it could be what I had.
