The readme seems to say the answer is yes? You'll lose the disk-based cache, but it's not inherently unsafe because the only coordination is object storage.

I agree and nearly commented about that; it is very concerning & ought be at least in the README.
I was charitably thinking perhaps maybe possibly being a fork doesn't give you access to the full suite of GitHub tools: iirc issues aren't at least by default available? Maybe there's a setting for that.
It felt like a little too big a topic to tackle in my post, so I ommited, but I definitely have concerns! Very weird.

Interesting that it uses cloudflare for the scales to 0/cf workers part. I wanted something like this, starred!
Does this make the git object storage part cache on cloudflare though or is it sent straight from the configured S3 bucket?

I really want something like this but that can be backed by a database or in-memory store, say for running Git in a browser, phone app, or Wasm.
