This was a foregone conclusion. The Argentine Central Bank is still in an incredibly fragile position, on a net basis it technically still has negative reserves (since all of the $48b that you see in the balance sheet aren't the monetary authority's own funds), to the tune of -$8bn or so. The last thing it needed was to have billions of dollars in its balance sheet erased overnight, which would've been what the end of the Chinese swap would've meant.
It's funny how the trump administration is getting punked after giving Argentina 20 billion dollars of tax payer money but trump's followers defend it like they do everything else that he ruins.
America is acting like a bully who will keep bullying you to no end even if you agree to their current demands. Why would anyone fall for that?
Also, it's a bit ridiculous that we have to make messages unnecessarily long on this sub for them to not be filtered out by AutoModerator. Length is not indicative of quality.
