Do it! I’m so jealous that you get to experience her genius for the first time. Personally, I think her Gawker stuff is my favorite, with this arguably being the pinnacle.
She’s legitimately one of my favorite writers, but I’m never sure where she’s working these days. I’ve found everything she’s written to be a treat to at least some small degree.
a real tour de force about bread, statistics, america, celebrity pr, and family. i laughed, cried, and rued the fact that the atlantic seemingly didn't have the budget to send her to at least 83 more restaurants.
After reading the opening and responding in my head the “best free restaurant bread is at Bertucci’s and they give kids dough to play with,” I felt very called out when she correctly identified me as a millennial from MA.

This was delightful and had so many hilarious asides. I want to look up everything written by Caity Weaver now.

Her Gawker pieces were SO good. I still go back and read The Best Restaurant in New York is the American Girl Cafe when I need a laugh.

It’s the middle of the night and I’m cackling in the fetal position. I need some water after laughing so hard 😂
