Ask your mail a question
Press Ctrl+J and ask which sent mail is still waiting on a reply, or what is in your promotions. The assistant reads your mailboxes with the app's own tools and shows each one it ran.
Mail and calendar for Linux
Gmail, Microsoft and any IMAP or POP3 account, with your calendar and contacts, in one fast app on your own computer.
Version 1.0.0. Free software under GPL-3.0-or-later, for x86_64 Linux.
Sign in to Gmail, to Outlook.com, Hotmail, Live or Microsoft 365, or to Fastmail, iCloud, Yahoo or any IMAP, POP3 and SMTP server. Penguin Mail finds the server settings from your address.
Read every account in one inbox or one at a time. Penguin Mail keeps syncing from the system tray, with an unread count and notifications you can act on.
Day, Week, Month and Agenda views of every calendar on every account: Google, Microsoft, and CalDAV where your provider offers it. Answer an invitation from the message it came in.
Your contacts from Google, Microsoft, or CardDAV where your provider offers it, and suggestions from the people you write to as you type a recipient.
Sign and encrypt through your own GnuPG. Penguin Mail never holds your keys or asks for a passphrase.
Gmail filters, Microsoft inbox rules, and Sieve rules where your provider offers them, listed in plain words, with a form to add one.
Off until you choose a model. It can run on your own computer, through LM Studio or Ollama, and it asks before it sends mail or changes a setting.
Press Ctrl+J and ask which sent mail is still waiting on a reply, or what is in your promotions. The assistant reads your mailboxes with the app's own tools and shows each one it ran.
A bar above the list sorts mail into Primary, Updates, Promotions and Social, using Gmail's own categories. Move a sender to another category and it stays there.
Schedule a message for Monday morning and it goes out on time while Penguin Mail runs, even from the tray. Sent mail waits a few seconds with an Undo button first.
Hide My Email makes a Gmail plus address for each site you join. When one of them starts getting spam, turn that address off and its mail goes to the Trash.
Penguin Mail has no server of its own, no tracking and no ads. Gmail and Google Calendar accounts talk to Google directly, and Microsoft accounts talk to Microsoft Graph, so no other server sees your mail.
