Our Community Deserves Transparency
We're leading the referendum effort to stop the proposed Stratos Project Data Center. We believe Utah families deserve to have a voice before subsidizing massive industrial projects that have serious impacts on our community. Join us in the fight!
About B.E.A.R.
B.E.A.R. (Box Elder Accountability Referendum) is a non-partisan, resident-led organization created to protect our local community and way of life. Neither Box Elder County nor MIDA have provided the public with real information about the implications of this project. We deserve answers.

Why We've Filed a Referendum
The Stratos Project moved forward with far too many unanswered questions around water, power, cost, and transparency. The referendum is about restoring accountability and giving Box Elder voters a real say before irreversible decisions are made.
QUESTIONABLE ECONOMICS
The data center is getting unfair tax breaks while Box Elder residents and businesses have to pay their fair share.
If everyday Utahns are being asked to tighten their belts, why are massive corporations getting special treatment?
WATER & ENVIRONMENT
The data center is receiving water permits as Box Elder farmers and residents are being asked to conserve.
In a region already facing drought and water stress, how can we justify adding massive new industrial demand?
PROCESS & LOCAL CONTROL
Box Elder residents were completely left out of the decision making process with the County or MIDA.
Should billion-dollar data centers be approved without any transparent public review or clear answers?
